About Valerie

Valerie Pelts brought back the WORLD CHAMPION TROPHY for pre-teen American Smooth and Preteen Latin, which is proudly displayed at the Academy. She danced in 2 styles, International and American Smooth in the open Gold level. She danced in 5 competitions, Nashville StarZ, St. Louis Star Ball, The Windy City Open, The Ohio World Championships and Orlando National Championships.

About Belinda

Belinda Quimbey danced in 2 ballroom dance competitions in the A-age category. She danced 3 styles including, Argentine Tango, American Rhythm and International Latin in the Bronze level. Belinda competed at the St. Louis Star Ball, and the Windy City Open competitions.

The Ballroom Dance Academy of Saint Louis promotes ballroom dancing by sponsoring gifted students and the professional dance instructors of BDASL, to participate in formal ballroom dance competitions accredited by the National Dance Council of America, NDCA. Tuition Award recipients’ participation in dance competitions shall be photographed and video-graphed by professionals who are present at all NDCA approved competitions. DANCE Tuition Awards are based on a combination of both merit and financial need.

The Ballroom Dance Academy of Saint Louis, takes great pride in sponsoring ballroom dance students and their instructors who are successful in training champions!

In 2008 two students enrolled in the Academy were awarded DANCE Tuition Awards for participation in Pro-Am competitions.
